Wezesha Youth Initiative has been running annual Cultural Weeks for the last 3 years. The event usually allows different communities to explore and practice different cultures across east and central Africa. The Mr and Miss WEZESHA KENYA also take place during the last day of the event.
During this electioneering period in Kenya, we saw the need to involve the Youth in contributing to National Peace and Neutrality. Kenya is a country of youth according to the 2019 population and census results which show that 75% of the 47.6 million population is under the age of 35. Therefore, the Youth Command is a huge voice in the country.
MR AND MISS TRANQUILITY KENYA was born from this concept, where we will have the ambassadors’ running projects across the country where they will be interacting with different societies and also travel in different locations to initiate some of the activities that will benefit youth.
To have the youth involved in the election process; Pre-election, During the election and Post-Election.
To address challenges faced by young people during the election period and advocate for effective solutions leading to peace.
Talent Showcasing during the main event through a wide range of activities in beauty pageants live music performances and motivational talks.
To build a mind of Peace and involve other like-organizations to come on board and contribute to the voice.
To help encourage tolerance among different communities.
This event is scheduled to take place on 25th June 2022 and also aims at looking into matters which involve social and mental health issues.
